Families in Tidworth get garden makeovers

Twenty gardens in Forest Court and Juniper Court in Tidworth received garden makeovers last week thanks to funding from landlord Aster Group.

Working with VPS Grounds Service, the gardens were cleared of rubbish, new shingle laid, leaves removed, hedges trimmed and grass cut.

With the gardens becoming a bit of an eyesore over recent months, the local neighbourhood team at Aster chatted through their garden makeover idea over with customers to find out if sprucing up the gardens would make a difference to local residents.

Neil Kane, senior neighbourhood officer said: “These gardens used to just fill up with leaves and tree sprouts and looked a bit tired. We wanted to improve how they look and make them easier to maintain for our customers.

“Tidying up the gardens now before winter sets in means that they will still be in a good condition for when spring arrives, which will hopefully encourage our customers to get outside and start enjoying their gardens.”

The two communal blocks in Tidworth house 60 families who will all benefit from the improvements to the area, with the estate now looking much tidier and more welcoming.

Aster customers commented on the day that the gardens looked a lot better and they were happy with the work that had taken place.
