Response to the new Prime Minister Boris Johnson

Bjorn Howard, group chief executive of Aster Group, said: “Aside from Brexit, I urge Mr Johnson to remain on the path set out by Theresa May, whose government supported the role of shared ownership in a better working housing market and offered funding for community-led developments. It’s a crucial period, with an action plan for the social housing green paper set to be announced in September, and now is the time to see these plans through to fruition.”

It’s a crucial period, with an action plan for the social housing green paper set to be announced in September, and both Esther McVey and Robert Jenrick will need to hit the ground running so this vital phase for social housing is not delayed.
