Delivering water and putting our customers first

When a water outage during the recent heatwave left six of our properties within a block of flats in Tidworth without supply for up to twenty-four hours, our teams in Wiltshire stepped up.

Our Response Repair team identified that water to the block would need to be turned off, so the Plumber on site, James Westcott, knocked on all doors to reassure our customers that we were doing all we could to support them. Recognising the impact this would have; they contacted the Housing team to inform them of the situation and calculated how much water would be needed for customers whilst the supply was unavailable. Our Neighbourhood Officer for Tidworth, Gemma Sparkes, immediately headed to the local supermarket to purchase bottles of water, where she was joined by the Neighbourhood Officer for Ludgershall, Josh Pritchard, and Plumber, Peter Hudson.

A Tesco Community Champion in store donated the water, and the team were then loading up their vehicles and delivering them to our customers.

We’re here to make a positive difference to people’s lives, and this is just one example of our teams working together and going above and beyond for our customers.
