Top tips for tackling mould and condensation

Condensation and mould can be a problem during the colder months of the year.

If you’ve been in touch with us over the last year to log a mould and condensation issue in your home, our team intends to get in contact to make sure that these issues have been fully resolved ahead of this winter period.

We can all play our part to help prevent the spread of condensation and mould within our homes. We’ve put together a simple video guide to help you minimise the issue, and how to deal with mould if it does occur. Watch it below.

If you notice dark or discoloured areas on the walls or ceiling in your home which have a line that looks a bit like a 'tide mark', this could be a sign of damp which will require further investigation. Please get in touch with us on 0333 400 8222.

We’re offering free Hygrometers to all customers this autumn.

Order your free Hygrometer by emailing contactcentre@aster.co.uk or call 0333 400 8222.

A Hygrometer is a small device that lives in your home and tells you how much humidity is in the air. It’ll show when air moisture levels are high so you can take action to reduce it.

Ventilating your home to manage any humidity will reduce condensation and should reduce mould growth.
