C&C team helps old friends reunite as residents

Two friends who were reunited with the help of the C&C care team have featured in a festive advent calendar organised by the National Care Forum.

Friends reunited

A  resident moved into Cecil Court over the summer and quickly settled in, getting on well with staff and other residents.

On many occasions she would talk about a good friend that she was missing dearly. They had been best friends for many years from school time, and after listening to her stories, our care team realised that her friend was a resident at Homemead.

Our team organised for the pair to meet and their friendship was reignited. They described the relationship as being like sisters, and one resident mentioned to the care staff that she’d like to be closer to her friend.

We decided to honour her wish to be closer to her friend and moved her to Homemead.

They are now very happy together and have shared more about their friendship in the video below, which is being posted as part of the NCF’s festive advent calendar.
