Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week

At Aster, we understand how distressing ASB can be – whether it's noise nuisance, threats of violence, drug-related activity or youth disorder – and we’re here to help. That’s why we have a dedicated team ready to support you.

National Antisocial Behaviour Awareness Week raises awareness of what ASB is and encourages individuals and communities to take a stand against incidents by reporting all ASB. Antisocial behaviour can be overwhelming, with the potential to seriously affect people’s lives and damage communities.

What we can do

This year’s themes include supporting victims and making it easier to report ASB.

  • Support for Victims: We offer a range of support services, including referrals to specialist agencies, target hardening (extra security measures like extra door locks and outdoor lighting), and contact from our ASB team for ongoing support. Our ASB team is trained to handle sensitive issues such as domestic abuse, and we know how hard it can be to come forward. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
  • Easier Reporting: There are multiple ways you can report ASB to us – whether by calling our Customer Contact Centre on 0333 400 8222, using our website, or via social media. We're also excited to announce that we're preparing to launch a new ASB app, which will make it even simpler to report incidents and collect evidence.

Working together

Sometimes, talking calmly to those involved can help – they may not realise the effect their actions are having. But if that doesn’t help or isn’t safe, please contact us. We'll always do our best to investigate and resolve issues where we can.

When to contact the police

Some ASB issues are also criminal matters. If you witness any criminal activity, please contact the police immediately. We work in close partnership with the police, local councils, environmental health, and other agencies to support our customers and take action where appropriate.

Our ASB team is trained to respond to reports of domestic abuse and understand how difficult it can be to report if this is happening to you. If you are affected then please report ASB through the form within MyAster. For domestic abuse concerns, you can also contact the National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0800 247 2000, a 24-hour free service provided by Refuge and Women’s Aid.
