Things are about to get a little wilder at Enham – in the best possible way
This year, we are running a series of nature-themed events and initiatives across the village of Enham Alamein, in Hampshire, suitable for all the family under a new initiative we’re calling ‘Wild about Enham’. Our main event, the Big Wildlife Count will take place this June around World Environment Day and National Volunteering Week which is a great time of year for spotting and recording wildlife.
On Saturday 6 June, together with the team at Enham Trust, we’re asking our community to rally together and help us record the different species we find around the village. There will be plenty for everyone to get involved in, so drop by and join in our wildlife audit for some nature-filled family fun this Spring.
Other ‘Wild About Enham’ events include guided nature walks, volunteering sessions and wildlife friendly gardening talks. We’ll be sharing more details with you and opportunities get involved soon, so be sure to check in over the coming weeks.
We’re also taking part in No Mow May this year across designated areas around the village. These areas will be signposted accordingly, and we encourage you to get involved too! Let the weeds grow in your garden this May and help our bees, butterflies and other pollinators this Spring.
We look forward to spending time with you all in nature this Spring and Summertime and getting Wild about Enham.
