Thank you for making a difference – Volunteer Week 2025
This Volunteer Week, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has given their time to support their community over the past year. Whether it was an hour, a day, or a regular commitment - every effort matters. Together, you've helped build stronger, kinder, more connected neighbourhoods.
Here are just a few highlights of the incredible impact our volunteers have made:
A fresh start at Hillmead
Thanks to six amazing volunteers, a once-tired courtyard at Hillmead was transformed into a welcoming space for eight local families. The team cleaned, painted, and added new benches and chalkboards—creating a brighter place to relax, play, and spend time together. A brilliant example of how small acts of service can have a big impact.
Community pride at Keyford Heights
At Keyford Heights and Gorehenge, eight volunteers rolled up their sleeves for a community tidy-up—clocking in over 40 hours to improve shared spaces for 32 residents. The result? Cleaner, brighter areas and a renewed sense of pride in the place people call home.
Creativity and connection at Crammer Court
A lantern-making session at Crammer Court in Devizes, run in partnership with Devizes Outdoor Celebratory Arts (DOCA), brought colour, creativity, and companionship to residents. One participant shared that she would’ve spent the afternoon alone—but the session gave her a reason to connect, laugh, and create something beautiful with others.
