Simple steps to get ready for emergencies
Emergencies can happen at any time - whether it’s severe weather, power cuts, flooding or other unexpected events. While we can't always predict them, we can be better prepared. A few small actions now can make a big difference later.
The Government has recently produced new 'Get prepared for emergencies' guidance, offering a range of tips on how you can get ready, stay safe and support your community:
This includes downloading a Household Emergency Plan, fire safety tips, talking to others and preparing emergency supplies.
Remember, you don’t need to do everything at once. Even one small step today can make a big difference tomorrow.
