Food banks

Food banks are available if you need some emergency help accessing food. Visit The Trussell Trust website to find your local food bank.

As well as foodbanks, there are now over 300 community fridges open where you can eat, connect, learn new skills and reduce food waste. At community fridges, local people can share food, including surplus from supermarkets, local food businesses, producers, households and gardens. Check out the Community Fridges map to find your nearest one.

There are also free apps where you can find food packages from local shops and cafes at reduced prices. Search for Olio and Too Good To Go in your app store.
