Ideal Heating boiler issue

Ideal Heating has detected a fault with some of its boilers, which is resulting in some overheating and shutting down. The company has identified where these boilers have been installed and will be arranging to apply upgrades to those affected.

This is a national issue which affects a number of Aster customers – although please note that for most of our customers, your boiler is not affected. The affected boilers were installed between July 2022 and January 2024 and include the following models.

LOGIC COMBI2 C24

LOGIC COMBI2 C30

LOGIC COMBI2 C35

LOGIC SYSTEM2 S15

LOGIC SYSTEM2 S18

LOGIC SYSTEM2 S24

LOGIC SYSTEM2 S30

Ideal Heating is now planning to arrange upgrades to these boilers and will be writing to all affected customers to ask they register their details for an upgrade to be arranged. Please note if you do not receive a letter from Ideal Heating, then your boiler is not one of the above models and is therefore not affected. If you believe you do have one of the above models and have not received a letter by mid-March, please give us a call on 0333 400 8222.

Ideal Heating has advised those with affected boilers can continue to use your boiler, but it should be repressurised to 1.5 bar. You can do this yourself and instructions can be found on how to do so on the Ideal Heating website: www.idealsupport.co.uk.
