Aster awarded LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge Pioneer status

Aster has officially been awarded Pledge Pioneer status as part of the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge.

It reflects the work we’ve done to make sure LGBTQ+ customers are included, supported and represented in the housing sector. From embedding LGBTQ+ considerations into our policies (such as our Domestic Abuse policy) to ensuring visibility across our communications, this award shows we’re moving in the right direction.

The Pledge was developed to give LGBTQ+ residents a stronger voice in social housing. It has three levels – Promise, Pioneer, and Pioneer Plus – and being recognised as a Pioneer means we’ve created a framework for LGBTQ+ residents to be heard at the highest levels of the organisation. It also shows our progress in increasing visibility and providing staff training.
