Aster Group strengthens senior team with four key appointments

Aster Group has appointed four senior leaders across its technology, finance, governance and property services operations, in order to help improve services, drive innovation and support its mission to create thriving communities for customers across the South of England and London.

The appointments bring expertise from both inside and outside the housing sector, reinforcing Aster's commitment to transformation, strong governance and modern customer services.

Mark Denton joins as IT Director and will lead Aster’s technology operations and transformation programme. He will be focused on the smarter use of technology to make it easier for customers to access services, get information and interact with Aster. Mark brings more than 20 years’ technology experience and joins from Waterstones, where he was also IT Director.

Luke McCreery has been appointed Property Services Director, with responsibility for driving performance and ensuring customers receive safe, high-quality services. He began his career as a plumbing apprentice before progressing through to Director of Property Service Maintenance and Contract Services at Curo, bringing first-hand understanding of customers' homes and frontline services.

Charlotte Burnham joins as Director of Governance, Risk and Regulatory Compliance and will lead Aster’s approach to governance, assurance and regulatory compliance. She will play a key role in ensuring customers have confidence that Aster operates with accountability, transparency and strong governance. Charlotte joins from Thirteen Group, where she was Director of Governance, and brings extensive experience across housing, central and local government.

Completing the appointments is Sam Peacock as Finance Director to help ensure Aster remains financially strong and able to invest in homes, services and communities for the long term. Sam brings more than 20 years’ finance experience and joins from Moto Hospitality Group, where she spent five years as Group Financial Controller.

The appointments come as Aster continues to invest in modernising services, improving customers' homes and delivering its ambitious plans to build more affordable housing while maintaining strong value for money.
