Andover residents enjoy high tea for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, customers living at an Independent Living Scheme in Andover were treated to an afternoon tea in the recently refurbished communal lounges to enable them to share the festivities together.

Local housing association Aster Group has refurbished Sandringham House Independent Living Scheme for customers by refreshing the garden area, installing new garden furniture and refurbishing the lounge and dining areas inside.

During the jubilee bank holiday weekend customers enjoyed an afternoon tea in the communal lounges, which are now open for all customers to spend time in.

Sarah Durrans, regional operations director at Aster Group said: “The jubilee is a fantastic opportunity for people to come together and spend time as a group. We’re pleased to be able to help customers enjoy this historic event and we’re looking forward to seeing them to continue use the communal areas at Sandringham House to share both the special moments and the everyday.”

Sandringham House provides Independent Living Services to over 25 customers and is maintained by local housing association Aster Group.
