Visiting our offices has changed - Testway House

Like many businesses, we closed our receptions to visitors in March 2020 as a result of the pandemic, and since then we’ve all found new ways to keep in touch. Instead of visiting us, lots of customers now use our MyAster portal, the contact centre, the post office or local pay points. We’ve seen that virtual appointments are a really successful way for us to keep in touch, so we’ll continue to offer virtual meetings if you’d like to speak to someone from our team.

As we continue to work in a more flexible way, our offices have become increasingly under used, which is why we’re looking at the long-term future of the buildings we own. Following an application to Test Valley Borough Council in June 2021, we’ve been given the go-ahead to redevelop our office in Andover, Testway House, into 21 new homes.

The redevelopment will take some time, and it’s likely that we’ll still be working from Testway House for the next 12 months at least.

Even when we do close the office in Andover, you’ll still be able to arrange to see us face to face if you need to. In fact, we’re making it even easier.

From September this year, the reception at Testway House will be moving to a digital sign in appointment service.

If you need to meet with a colleague face to face, you’ll be able to make an appointment. All you need to do is call the contact centre on 0333 400 8222 or email the team on You don’t even need to come to us if you don’t want too, our colleagues are happy to meet you at a suitable location which might be at your home, in a public area nearby, a local shared office space or one of our regional hub offices.

These changes mean that you can meet the right member of our team, at a time and place that suits you.

Not all of our customers live close to a reception service, or they may not have transport available to visit an office. These changes will make sure that everyone can meet the right member of our team in the right place to get the support they need to address their query.
