Meet the team helping customers feel safe at home

As part of ASB Awareness Week, we're shining a spotlight on the colleagues who work behind the scenes to support customers experiencing anti-social behaviour and domestic abuse.

Our Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Support team is often the first point of contact when you reach out for help.

Every day is different, but one thing remains the same: helping you feel safe in your homes and communities.

Putting customers first

When you report anti-social behaviour or domestic abuse, the ASB Support team helps ensure their concerns reach the right people as quickly as possible.

The team reviews new reports, assesses risk and works closely with colleagues across Aster to make sure customers receive the support they need.

Some cases involve persistent noise nuisance or neighbour disputes, while others are far more serious and can include harassment, intimidation, threatening behaviour, domestic abuse, drug-related activity or violence.

Supporting those most at risk

Domestic abuse reports are treated as a priority.

The team works carefully and sensitively with you, ensuring it is safe to make contact and taking time to understand individual circumstances. This can include carrying out risk assessments, discussing safety concerns and helping you access specialist support.

Where appropriate, additional security measures can be arranged to help you feel safer in their homes, including personal alarms, window alarms, video doorbells and other security equipment.

Working with partners to make communities safer

Tackling anti-social behaviour often requires partnership working.

The ASB Support team regularly works alongside local authorities, police forces and specialist agencies to share information, assess risk and ensure people receive the right support.

This collaborative approach helps tackle serious cases while ensuring you remain at the heart of every decision.

Every report matters

Anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact on people's wellbeing, confidence and sense of security.

The ASB Support team's role is to ensure every report is taken seriously, every customer is listened to and support is provided where it is needed most.

Their work may happen behind the scenes, but it plays a vital role in helping you feel safe, supported and at home.

If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour or domestic abuse, support is available. Please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0333 400 8222.
