Our development – the future

Despite the initial impact of the first lockdown on the housing market, most sites have now reopened with safety measures in place to protect workers.

Demand for housing remains high and we’ve seen a huge increase in enquiries in recent months, with a major rise in shared ownership enquiries since April.

In the next year we plan to build 834 affordable and 103 open market homes. To help us achieve this, we’re working hard to create new partnerships and further leverage those already in place.

In the last few weeks, we’ve signed six contracts to deliver 231 new homes over the next couple of years. Including Bird Marsh, in Chippenham, which is set to deliver 26 new homes, 17 for shared ownership and nine for affordable rent. The first homes are expected to be delivered later this year.

With construction only recently picking up again, it’s encouraging to see our development programme continuing to move at pace.
