Please note further to our previous messages that our housing teams will no longer be present at The Dry Dock in Weymouth. All ongoing support from this point to affected customers will be provided by your allocated housing officer. You will have been given their contact details should you need support or have any queries.

Please note there will be no presence from our housing teams at The Dry Dock across the weekend. In the event of an emergency please call our Contact Centre's out of hours number on 0333 400 8222.
Customers can collect any mail directly from Royal Mail's Sorting Office during normal opening hours, at this time.
The address to visit is Royal Mail, Delivery Office, Lower St. Alban St, Weymouth DT4 8AH. Please note you will need to take some form of ID with you in order to collect your mail.

While we continue to assess the damage to all customers' homes, we wanted to let you know about space we have acquired at Dry Dock between now and this Friday 25 September.
This is a space that customers affected by the fire can visit should you wish to grab a drink (quote Aster for this) and where there are long life food supplies and kettle packs available for affected customers.
Our team will have a presence there at times over the rest of this week to provide support and information.

Our local Housing Team has been in contact with nearly all customers to provide support and assess your emergency housing needs. We will continue to try and contact remaining customers today.
Weymouth Food Bank
If any affected customers need support with “kettle packs” (items that can be prepared using a kettle, such as noodles, porridge oats, etc.), you can collect a food parcel by providing your address. You do not require a full referral.

If you are a customer affected by this incident, a colleague from our local Housing Team will be contacting you today to update you and to assess your current situation and emergency housing needs.
We’re continuing to work with Dorset Council on emergency accommodation, and with the emergency services on the condition of the building, and access arrangements. We know how stressful and upsetting this is for our customers, and we’ll do all we can to help.
Customers should also be aware that the Sue Ryder charity shop, 117 Dorchester Road, DT4 7LA is currently offering free clothing to those affected. The shop is open 9.30am - 5pm Monday to Saturday.

Our team are currently on site at Dorchester Road, Weymouth and at the emergency rest centre in the Town Council Offices while customers are moved to alternative accommodation. We are working closely with the emergency services to understand the condition of the buildings and when it may be safe for customers to return home.
At this stage, it is unlikely that anyone will be able to return to their home today. We understand how difficult and upsetting this situation is, and we will continue to share updates as soon as we have them.
If you need emergency accommodation, Dorset Council can provide immediate support. We are working alongside the Council to help customers access the assistance they need. You can contact the Dorset Council emergency response team on 01305 221 000.
Emergency services remain at the site while Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service continues its investigation and safety work. The emergency services are still in control of access to the area. In some cases, customers may be allowed to collect essential items from their homes, but this will be decided by the emergency services and must be done under their supervision. Unfortunately, the block directly affected by the fire cannot be accessed at this time.
One of our team will contact you directly as soon as possible to discuss your situation and any housing support you may need. We expect this contact to take place tomorrow, Monday 21 September.
If you are able to stay with family or friends, or make alternative accommodation arrangements for tonight, we would encourage you to do so while longer-term support is being put in place.
