What is a heat network?

A heat network is a system that provides heating and/or hot water to more than one home or building from a central source.
Rather than each home having its own individual heating system, heat is generated centrally at an energy centre and distributed to properties through a network of pipes. Heat networks can serve several homes within one building or several separate buildings.
We operate around 70 heat networks supplying around 2,800 homes with heating, and in some cases hot water, out of a total of 38,000 homes that we own and manage.
