What is a police-approved key safe?
A key safe is a secure metal device attached to the outside of your house, which allows you to securely store a spare key to your home. Should you require assistance, your friends and family, or if necessary the emergency services, can get to you quickly and efficiently.
With our Connected Living - Secure package, you'll receive your own police-approved key safe, which will be safely and securely installed by a Trusted Assessor trained technician.

How our police-approved key safe works
The key safe is protected by a code of your choice, which you can share with family, friends or carers. If you require assistance, your contacts can get into your house by simply entering the code and retrieving the key.
If the situation is more serious, your contacts can share the code with the emergency services - so you can access help sooner.
Is a police-approved key safe right for me?
Anyone can use our key safes, however, they can be particularly helpful, if :
- You have limited mobility
- You are elderly or vulnerable
- You have learning disabilities
- You have a health condition (e.g. Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, or diabetes,)

To ensure your key safe is installed securely and safely, a Trusted Assessor trained technician will install your equipment at a convenient time for you. There is a one-off payment of £36.00 for this service.

You’ll qualify if you have a disability or a long term illness.
The call handler will know something has happened and call your contacts or the emergency services.
Normally, we will install your key safe within five working days. However, if your situation is urgent, we can install your key safe within two working days,
Yes, all of our technicians carry ID badges and are trusted assessor trained.
If you don't have any contacts nearby, we recommend Connect Living - Protect. This package includes a police-approved key safe, plus our standard home alarm unit and a wearable pendant alarm. If you require assistance, simply press the button on your personal alarm to speak to our monitoring centre, and one of our trained call handlers will ensure you get the help you need. We can also keep a record of your key safe code for emergencies.
You will need to have a working phone line (or our GSM Solution) and an electricity supply near by.
