How our monitored smoke and carbon monoxide detectors work
If smoke or carbon monoxide is detected in your home, two alarms will be activated.
The first is an audible alarm to alert you to the emergency, whilst the second alarm sends an automatic call to our monitoring centre for help.
We’ll ensure you’re safe and call your nominated contact or the emergency services depending on the situation.
Is a monitored smoke and carbon monoxide detector right for me?
Our monitored detectors are a great solution for anyone concerned about the dangers of smoke or carbon monoxide, particularly, if:
- You have limited mobility
- You are elderly or vulnerable
- You have learning disabilities
- You have a health condition (e.g. Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, or diabetes,)

Registration and installation
Aster Connect - £60.00*
To ensure your equipment is installed safely, a Trusted Assessor trained technician will install your equipment at a convenient time for you. There is a one-off payment of £60.00 for this service, which also covers your registration to our service.

Frequently asked questions
You’ll qualify if you have a disability or a long term illness.
If for any reason you cannot hear the call handler, don't worry. They will know something has happened and call your contacts or the emergency services.
Normally, we will install your equipment within five working days. However, if your situation is urgent, we can install your key safe within two working days,
Yes, all of our technicians carry ID badges and are trusted assessor trained.
If you don't have any contacts to nearby, don't worry. If the sensors detect smoke or carbon monoxide in your home, our monitoring centre will be automatically alerted and check you’re safe. In an emergency, we will always call 999.
We can supply a GSM solution which will work off a sim card, call and ask us about it.
You will need to have a working phone line (or our GSM Solution) and an electricity supply near by.

Wherever you are, the device will send an SOS message to our monitoring centre or your chosen contacts, so you can get the right help straightaway.
