Volunteering

We believe in People Power...

Volunteering is our way of investing in communities where they need it the most, supporting local partners and worthwhile causes. It’s a fantastic way to make a difference, drive change and help you get closer to the communities you live in.

Volunteering and helping others can be good for you too. It can be a great way to reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated, and provide a sense of purpose. . It’s also  a great way to add skills and experience to your CV which employers love to see.

Aster Connect

Aster Connect, our new telephone befriending service was set up in response to COVID-19 to support those vulnerable and elderly customers aged 70+ living in our communities who may be experiencing isolation.

Through a weekly telephone call our volunteer colleagues and partners are providing a listening ear, links to other support services and welfare checks for those who may be experiencing isolation and loneliness.
