Mental health support one cup at a time

Wellbeing mentor, Ling Salter, set up her social business, Compassionate Cuppa to support mental health through one-to-one mentoring. Now she’s part of the inc. programme and benefiting from our unique syllabus and experience of supporting the mental health of our colleagues and communities.

Compassionate Cuppa was created following Ling’s own experience of depression. She has also worked in the health and social care sector which means she has a unique understanding of those experiencing ill mental health and the type of support they need. Compassionate Cuppa offers help with one-to-one sessions tailored to a person’s individual needs and preferences.

COVID-19 has meant more and more people across our communities struggling with their mental health. We’ll be working with Ling to see how Compassionate Cuppa can support the Aster Foundations work around mental wellness and resilience

Ling is hoping her message of compassion will resonate with those who need support:  “Through compassion, we can overcome adversity to feel better, live life well. Our mission is to build a compassionate community, one cuppa at a time.”
