Makeover for Weymouth subways

People in Weymouth are coming together to tackle the problem of graffiti on the local subways.

Community group 'WeyPROGRESS', hope to brighten up the subways and make them nicer for people walking through, by re-painting three areas with the help of local graffiti artist, Peter Sheriden.

Our local neighbourhood team will supply some of the paint and will also volunteer their time to help make the subways more welcoming.

Over 100 locals have been asked for their thoughts on the makeover, but the group still want to hear from more people.

Why not go along to The Waverley (121 Abbotsbury Road, Weymouth), on Saturday 8 September between 9am – Midday, and share your ideas about what you’d like to see painted on the subway walls.
